Smaller Class Size

More individual attention for our youngest students

All parents want their children to reach their full potential. Reducing class sizes in the primary grades is a big part of our plan to help our children succeed in reading, writing and math.

By providing funding to school boards to hire more teachers and build and renovate classrooms, we have helped reduce class sizes across the province.

Almost all Ontario primary classes now have 23 or fewer students; over 90 per cent have 20 or fewer students. This means young students are getting more of the individual attention they need.
