Teachers participate in a range of professional learning opportunities with one thing in mind - to learn the latest techniques to unlock student potential.

Here's a small sample of what has been done:

• More than 12,000 teachers and principals received specialized training in reading instruction.
• Approximately 16,000 teachers and principals learned how to tailor their lessons to an individual child's interests, skills and learning style.
• Innovative leadership development programs were delivered to almost 1,300 principals in 38 school boards.
• The use of webcasts was introduced so that educators could share their expertise with teachers and principals across Ontario.
