** The OLC4O can now be offered online or through blended learning.
Two conditions must be met in delivering the OLC4O in these formats:
i.  protocols must be in place to underscore academic integrity in submission of student work
ii.  30% of the grade must be based on a proctored culminating test or performance assessment. The policy regarding The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) and The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course (OSSLC) is contained in PPM 127 and applies to the on-line course. In June 2004, the policy was changed to grant principals the discretion to allow a student to enrol in the OSSLC before he or she has had a second chance to take the OSSLT, if the principal determines that it is in the best interests of the student. However, before a student is eligible to take the OSSLC, it is mandatory that the student make at least one attempt at the OSSLT. If the student does not complete the test successfully, the student is then eligible for the OSSLC with the principal's permission.
