School Board Progress Reports
With the support of the Ministry of Education, Ontario's school boards are making good progress towards helping all students reach their greatest potential. Each year, the ministry reports on their progress across eight key indicators in the School Board Progress Reports.

You can use the progress reports to see:
What are the indicators?
The School Board Progress Reports let you see how your school board is doing in eight key areas. We measure:
- Reading results for Grade 6 students, and progress in this area
- Literacy results among Grade 10 students, and progress in this area
- The percentage of students who have completed 16 credits or more by the end of Grade 10, and progress in this area
- The percentage of primary classes with 20 or fewer students, and progress in this area

Why are we doing this?
- To show you how progress is being made in your board. The indicators represent some of the government's priority areas for education including class size in the primary grades, improved literacy rates and sound financial management.
- To be open and transparent as part of our commitment to boost public confidence in publicly funded education.
- To show you the good progress school boards are making towards helping students succeed.
