Ontario Rangers


What it is:

Ontario Rangers work out of remote camp locations. This program aims to provide participants with a unique combination of work, learning and life experiences.  Some jobs that Ontario Rangers may do include clearing portages and maintaining trails in parks, and assisting with fish and wildlife, forest management and biodiversity projects.

Who can apply:

Students in their 17th year who are turning 17 in the year they are applying (and not turning 18 before December 31).  For the 2009 summer season, that means being born in 1992.

Duration of the work or the job services:

Jobs last eight weeks; start dates vary from late June to early July.

When to apply:

Deadline for applications and reference forms is the last Friday in March each year.
