Experiential Learning Week

Thinking Beyond the Classroom – November 21-25, 2011

The first-ever Experiential Learning Week was officially announced on November 22, 2010.

This year, Experiential Learning Week is November 21-25, 2011.

The Passport to Prosperity Employer Champion Awards were created to acknowledge and recognize the important contributions of Ontario employers who have shown an outstanding commitment to providing meaningful work experiences for high school students in their communities through any of the following:

  • Job Shadowing
  • School-Work Transition Programs
  • Mentoring
  • Classroom or Worksite Visits
  • Career Talks
  • Cooperative Education
  • Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program.

More than 40,000 employers across the province have been actively involved in the Passport to Prosperity program since its inception.

Nominations for the 2011 Employer Champion Awards are accepted on an ongoing basis and reviewed quarterly.
